Veteran Soldier Moorehand (80 years old of WDC) remained unclaimed in the D.C. Morgue since April of 2008. NO FAMILY. NO COMMUNITY. He was interred at Arlington National Cemetery on January 13, 2009, thanks to a phone call from an old friend of Moorehand’s that set into motion a veterans advocacy group in New York, D.C.
