SGT Arthur A. Moorehand, U.S. Army, WWII Veteran, honorably discharged 1977

SALUTE IN MEMORIAM.  Honoring the Life of a Soldier.

Veteran Soldier Moorehand (80 years old of WDC) remained unclaimed in the D.C. Morgue since April of 2008.  NO FAMILY.  NO COMMUNITY.  He was interred at Arlington National Cemetery on January 13, 2009, thanks to a phone call from an old friend of Moorehand’s that set into motion a veterans advocacy group in New York, D.C. Morgue, D.C. Dept. of VA, National Association of Concerned Veterans and Veteran Helping Veterans.  From Regina Powell, VHV

CPL Jarrell E. Thomas, Marine "Semper Fi"

Dearest Sonson, you are my hero!  Courageous in spirit and in flesh.  Of many dust tracks in the road, you chose a positive one.  There will be no freedom in America without brave men and women like you.  To GOD be the glory.  Forever be blessed.  I salute you!  Endearingly MOMMY!
